  7. Ground Hog Day 1977

    Print of an egg tempera painting by the artist Paul Dempsey of his brothers old Mill in Central VA circa 1977,

    The artist spend many weekends at this old Mill building that was being used as a home and workshop for his brother (a well known local blacksmith),  wife Susan and their children in the piedmont of VA near Rustburg VA.

    Sadly this old Mill is no longer standing.  Repeated flooding and undermining of the banks and foundation finally led to its destruction in 2016.

    The Mill dated from the late 1700's with various additions being added for offices and then later residence space.
